THE HOLY QUR'AN IN DAILY LIFE INDONESIAN MOSLEM

1.1
Introduction
The Qur’an is the verbtain word of Allah, it is verbally
revealed thougth angel Gebriel from
Allah to Muhammad Gradually, according to most ‘Ulama over 22 years, 2
months and 22 days. This revalation period of the Qur’an can be devided in
Mecca are known as As-surah al-makiyah, while the Surah that were
revealed in Madinah are called as Surah al-Madaniyah . in the Qur’an
consist of 114 Surah that are devided into 30 Juz which are started by Surah
al-Fatiha and ended by Surah An-Nass[1]
Globalization is direct impact of the growth technology and information, and science
transmission in the world. In other words, Globalization is
something that not possible to avoid by good whoever in society context of non
moslem society, and also moslem them selves.
From globalization impact that's we earn to see world society have started
to make technology as direction to measure a mistake or truth in assessing
something, this matter of course will very affecting to religion values which
is progressively overruled.
Indonesia is a state with the
bigets of Moslem in world, by 85% from amount of are followers of Islam
teaching.[2] And the
other religions in Indonesia they are Hindu, Budha, Protestan and Katholik. As
we were knew, before Islam caming to the Indonesia, Indonesian in generally they
are followers of Hindu and Budha, and until Islam has arrived to Indonesia in 7th
century, but after Islam has followed by Indonesian, the cultur of
relegions before Islam, still used by
Indonesian Moslem, so that stiil mingled among Islam teaching and religions before
him, like tahayul, khurafat, and the teaching of religion before Islam that
still used by Indonesian moslem until to day.
from the background above, that’s important to know and to learn, how the
role of the Holly Quran for Indonesian moslem society, from the beginning of
Islam in Indonesia until to day.
2.1 The Meaning of Holly
Qur’an
The word qurʾān appears
about 70 times in the Quran itself, assuming various meanings. It is a verbal noun (maṣdar) of the Arabic verb qaraʾa
(قرأ), meaning “he read” or “he recited.” [4]
According to Ibrahim Anni’mah the meaning of Al-Qur’an is :
القران هو كلام الله
المعجز, المنزل على النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم, بالفظ العربي المكتب بين
دفتي المصحف, المنقول بالتوتر, المتعبد بتلاوته, المبدوء بسورة الفاتحة, المختتم
بسورة الناس.
From the definition of Al-Qur’an above, we can see that
Al-Qur’an is the word of Allah that delivered to the Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh ),
and written on the mushaf, and we will find kind and guidance when we read and
learn it that very useful in our life.
Al-Qur’an have many names, some of them are Al-Huda (
the guidance for human being ), Al-Furqon
(distinguishment ), Annur ( the light ), and many
others.
The Qur’an consists of
114 Surah, 6.236 verses, 77.439 Arabic words, and 323.015 letters, revealed to
Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh ) in 22 years, 2 months, and 22 days.[5]
2.2 The Holly Qur’an in Indonesia History
since prehistoric era, Indonesia
nation have owned trust in the form of worship to ancestors soul as well as
trust to certain object, so called trust
of animisme and dinamisme.[6]
process caming of
Islam in Indonesia have started with foundation teaching of tauhid to muallaf of islam, but that mission cannot realize by shorten time, this
matter because the local culture of hindu and budha still very coherent for individually
and also group in society of Indonesia. Therefore need long time to realize universal
of Islam ( kaffah ).
And the usage of
the Qur’an at the first time by
Indonesian moslem of the Qur’an still modestly, an example the
method of study Holly Qur’an in the boarding school still in the form of
memorizing[7] and then
the study to Al-Qur'An to be expand, so that complement sciences to comprehend
Al-Quran continue to be studied by Indonesian students. And also study to the Holly
Al-Qur’an has studied in the collage and in general is also studied by people
majority of indonesia specialy in education institute, Al-Quran made as
reference in their study.
2.3 The usage of the
Al-Qur’an by Indonesian Moslem
Al-Qur’an have the
important necessary for Indonesian
moslem society, this matter we can see from several things, some of them are
:
1. The usage of Holly Qur’an in writing or article aspect by Indonesian
moslem.
As we knew, there are many moslem
writer of Indonesia, has wrote many books that refer to the Holly Qur’an, like Tafsir
Al-Azhar written by Dr Hamka, Tafsir Mahmud Yunus written by Prof
M.Yunus, Terjemah dan Tafsir Al-Qur’an written by Bachtiar Surin, Keajaiban
Ayat-Ayat Suci Al-Qur’an written by Joesoef Sou’yb, and many others the
books and acticles has written by indonesia moslem in Indonesia.[8]
Therefore the role of moslem writers very useful to explain the holly
Qur’an for Indonesia society until to day.
2. The usage of the Holly Qur’an by Indonesian Moslem from education aspect
The usage of the holly Qur’an in education aspect, have been started at
institute education of Indonesia, that is boarding school or pesantren,
it is represent institute have important
role in usage of Al-Qur'an and hadits as source of Islam teaching. madrasah and
pesantren both are education of Indonesia which remain to eksis until today[9].
After caming reformation
of education by the founding father of modren education, the holly Qur’an do not only used by
religion school, but also used by general school which is the school of
colonial heritage. Because in the general school also taught about Islam
teaching after caming reformatin of education in Indonesia, although not same
with Madrasan and Pesantren. And also in the collage, study about the Holly Qur’an
still continue to be done openly in religion collage or general collage, and
also have producted many books at the result of study of Holly Qur’an.
3. The usage of the holly
Qur’an by Indonesia moslem from teaching aspect ( Ta’lim )
Indonesian Society also use the Holly Qur’an
on the speech, and also the speaker write the concept which to relate to
sentence of the Qur’an and hadits, as we found at news paper “Waspada” Medan,
every Friday in 1985.[10]
In the some area of Indonesia also go in for ta’lim aither in the
mosque or non formal institution.
3.1
Conclution
After learning this
subject we can conclude :
1.
Al-Qur’an have important position to Indonesian Moslem
society, because the people majority of Indonesia is Moslem;
2.
The factors of the usage of the holly Qur’an some of them
are, because people majority of Indonesia is Islam, and Al-Qur’an and
Hadits as sourch of Islam teaching, and
also Al-Qur’an and Hadits as guidance for human being.
3.2
Suggestion
Al-Qur’an as guidance to
all human being in the world, and there is not modification for first time
degraded to Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh ) till to last day[11].
Therefore the usage of the holly Qur’an have to majored in all area, because
it’s the function of the Qur’an as guidance ( al-huda ), to be bliss of
human being in the world and hereavter سعيد في الدنيا و سعيد في
الأخرة)
